Minimalist design made from a single piece of high-quality leather

The main body, pen holder, and paper holder are made from a single piece of high-quality leather (A4: approx. 48cm x 23cm, A3: approx. 62cm x 32cm).
To use it, simply insert the paper into the pockets on both ends. You can set up to 15 sheets of copy paper, and it's easy to replace.

Carry it small, spread it big

It's half the size so you can carry it around easily, and when opened it lies flat. It's also less likely to crease easily, so you can write comfortably.

Careful details

Fine lines are carefully carved around the outer perimeter, and the edges of the leather are dyed and then polished.
The back of the leather has also been polished to reduce fuzziness and unevenness.

Once you're done, save it digitally

The paper you've finished writing on can be scanned and saved to the cloud. It's less likely to crease, so it's less likely to jam when using the ADF (automatic paper feeder), and it's smooth.

About Liscio Leather

Origins

Liscio, Italian for "smooth." Its surface is smooth and fine-grained, with natural color variations and natural marks, giving it a sophisticated and rich leather-like appearance.

Tanning and Manufacturing

"Vacchetta leather" is a traditional Italian leather tanning technique from Tuscany, dating back to the early 9th century. Cowhide is tanned with vegetable tannins extracted from chestnut and mimosa, then slowly infused with oil and finished with dye. The internal oils gradually emerge with use, deepening its color and luster.
LWG (Leather Working Group) environmental certification: Silver rank.

Maintenance

Due to the sufficient oil content, oil treatment is not necessary unless you are concerned about scratches or dryness. For daily care, we recommend wiping with a soft, dry cloth or brushing. For more details, please refer here.

The joy of thinking on paper, the joy of interacting with the changes in leather

I'm having a pleasant experience where my thoughts come to life on a single sheet of white paper through words, pictures, and diagrams. A3 size paper makes for impactful materials when explaining things to others.
I chose black so I wouldn't have to worry about scratches from carrying it around as a tool. It's lightweight, so I can take it anywhere.
However, the leather did swell up after being exposed to rain. I was able to flatten it out by pressing it with a spoon, but it sagged again the next day when it dried. I'm now regretting not using waterproofing spray. Since then, I've made sure not to use open-top bags like tote bags on days when the weather looks bad.
I'd like to experience various significant changes in the leather over time.

Perfect for studying for qualifications

I use a study method where I write extensively on scrap paper, and this method is very convenient for carrying around.
At first, I was worried that it might get crushed when I folded it, but so far it seems fine, which is a relief.
The Caran d'Ache 849 is slightly harder to insert into the pen holder than the Ecridor, but both pens I own do fit. I've only just started using them, so I think they'll become easier to insert over time.
I'll buy it again if they release it in colorful colors like pink.

Inserting paper becomes easier with practice.

I'm happy that it's compact and lightweight for carrying around. I just wish the pen holder was a little thicker. None of my drafting pencils fit. Hopefully, this will be improved in the A3 size. I appreciate that I can reuse the back of the paper. I liked it so much I bought another one in a different color, but the chestnut color looks considerably brighter and redder than the other pen cases in the same Liscio series. Is there any way to make it a chocolate color quickly?

However, the fact that the paper is placed on the underside of the leather, which is more uneven than the grain side, is something that could be improved.

We already have the Etretat series, which features a double-sided silver finish.
However, this requires leather roughly the size of A3 paper on both sides, which inevitably impacts the price. Therefore, the Liscio series uses a single piece of leather, carefully smoothing the flesh side after pressing.

I think the idea of simply clipping it on is interesting and a good one. If I were to be picky, or rather, if I had to point out a drawback, it's that it's a little difficult to clip on... It uses a two-point clipping system, but I think it would be better if one side had a magnet so you could press it down from above. Just my own speculation, though...
