This is a 2mm lead holder. Similar to a mechanical pencil, it uses a clutch-type mechanism that feeds out a fixed amount of lead with each click, allowing the lead to be extended and retracted with one hand.
While lead holders may be unfamiliar to some, they are essentially pencils that can be used like mechanical pencils. The removable click-button part also features a lead sharpener.
The barrel is hexagonal, but the corners are gently rounded, making it closer to a circular shape and comfortable to hold. The knurling on the grip for slip prevention is very delicate and does not irritate the skin.
The black coating is elegant and durable, but with extended use, the brass underneath will begin to show through.
This creates a pleasant vintage aesthetic.
