MUJI Retractable Ballpoint Pen, Aluminum Body
Muji retractable ballpoint pen.
The shaft diameter is slim, measuring 9.8mm at its widest point (actual measurement). It fits perfectly into the pen holder of the Hasamu A4. It's a ballpoint pen with a simple structure and design, typical of MUJI.
Compared to the Caran d'Ache 849, which it clearly tries to emulate, it has an unpleasant click sound with a lot of friction, the tip details are not smoothly continuous, and it feels cheap when held. As the prices are different, this is to be expected, but it is not a product that conveys a sense of luxury or satisfaction.
Hexagonal part and discontinuous cap detail that are noticeable during writingWhat's interesting about this pen is that it can use a wide variety of C-300 compatible refills.
This means it can be used as an inexpensive, general-purpose metal barrel.
Usable refills
・Muji standard refill
・Mitsubishi Pencil Jetstream SXN series
・Mitsubishi Pencil Signo RT1 series
・Zebra Sarasa JF series
etc.
These refills are cheaper and have a larger ink capacity than D1 (4C) type refills, so I think they are convenient for daily use.
Fit in the pen holderIt fits perfectly into the Hasamu A4 pen holder. Since there are no irregularities, it can be inserted and removed smoothly.
