Itoya Helvetica 3in1 Multifunction Pen

Hasamu A4 can only hold one pen, so many people probably want to use a multi-functional pen. The Helvetica 3in1 is a multi-functional pen with a slim barrel diameter of 8.8mm, yet it can switch between three functions: a 0.5mm mechanical pencil and two colors of ballpoint pen (black and red).

The body of the Helvetica 3in1 is made of brass. While it feels a bit light, its rigidity is sufficient.
The design is simple, with an elegant matte finish.
Even when in use, there is little play at the pen tip, and the looseness common in multi-functional pens is not an issue.
However, the rattling sound when shaken and the feel of the knock button cannot shake off a cheap impression.
Structurally, a knock-type multi-functional pen may not be able to avoid rattling. Compared to a rotary type, it incorporates a pendulum, so collision sounds are unavoidable. Even the Lamy 2000, which is excellent among pens with a similar structure, makes a sound when shaken.

Switching pens is easy; just orient the desired pen upwards and press the knock button.
Additionally, since the refill is D1 standard, it can be replaced with one that offers your preferred writing feel, such as a Mitsubishi Jetstream.

The biggest advantage of this pen is, after all, its slimmer barrel diameter than a regular pen, despite being a multi-functional pen. It can be smoothly inserted into and removed from the Hasamu A4 pen holder.
The design is also simple and uncluttered.
It is a multi-functional pen that pairs well with the Hasamu A4.
