About Natura leather
"Natura" Leather
The leather used for "Natura" is produced in Santa Croce, Tuscany, Italy, a region known as the birthplace of vegetable tanning. We use thick, high-quality raw hides from France and meticulously selected quebracho tannins from Argentina.
>The surface is waxed and then drummed to create a wild and natural grain texture.
Deepening Color, Luster & Aging
As you use it, the wax on the surface wears away and disappears. Like the spring earth where nature begins to peek through white snow, the leather's original character emerges.
The surface wax and natural grain make it resistant to scratches, and as it is used, its color and luster deepen, allowing you to fully enjoy the beauty of aging.
Scratches and blemishes are not hidden with embossing or pigments, so they remain. However, the ability to enjoy the raw hide's texture as is, is proof of its highest quality natural leather. We ask for your understanding that scratches and blemishes are part of its unique individuality.
As it is leather that grows with you, it is also ideal as a gift for new beginnings such as starting school, graduating, or finding a new job.
Examples of "Natura" Aging
Birch: The wax covering the soft beige evokes the bark of a birch tree.
Cammello: A classic color. The wax remaining in the grain wears off, gradually changing to an amber color.
Grafite: A dark gray, like graphite, appears from beneath the bright gray color. No Oil Care Required
The fibers are thoroughly impregnated with oil, and as it is used, the oil contained within seeps out from the pores, coating the surface and creating a luster.
Therefore, no oil care is necessary. Waterproof sprays and other coating agents are strictly prohibited. They prevent the leather from breathing and cause it to harden.
The best maintenance is to simply use the leather frequently and provide it with appropriate stimulation.
Individuality of "Natura"
The "Natura" leather has variations in its appearance, including not only scratches and blemishes, but also large grains, small grains, and even areas with almost no grain. We ask for your understanding that each piece is a unique individual.
