Awarded the Red Dot Award 2022

"Hitoe® Fold Aria" has received the "Red Dot Award: Product Design 2022" hosted by the Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen in Germany.

The "Red Dot Design Award" is one of the world's three major design awards, and one of the most prestigious international design awards, with over 10,000 entries annually from companies, organizations, and designers in more than 60 countries worldwide.

It is divided into three categories: Product Design, Brands & Communication Design, and Design Concept. An international panel of design experts rigorously judges entries based on criteria such as design innovation, functionality, ergonomics, and durability.

The award-winning works will be honored on June 20 at a glamorous awards event attended by designers from around the world. Simultaneously, they will be exhibited online and at the "Design on Stage" special exhibition held at the Red Dot Design Museum in Essen, Germany.

The Red Dot Design Museum is housed in a historic building, the former boiler house of the Zollverein Coal Mine Industrial Complex, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and features one of the world's largest collections of contemporary design. A key feature is that visitors can touch and try out the exhibits.

The award for Hitoe® Fold Aria marks its eighth award, following the "London International Creative Competition," "IDA Design Awards 2021," "NY Product Design Awards," "MUSE Design Awards 2021," "European Product Design Awards 2021," "Omotenashi Selection 2021," and "K-DESIGN AWARD 2021."
