Hitoe® Fold Less Wins the Good Design Award 2022 (USA)

"Hitoe® Fold Less" has won the "Good Design Award 2022 (USA)".

The Good Design Award is a design award organized by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design.
Founded in 1950, the Good Design Award is the longest-running design award in the world, predating the Compasso d'Oro (1954), the iF Design Award (1953), and the Red Dot Design Award (1955), and is recognized as a globally prestigious design award.

― Overview of the "Good Design Award" ―

This award was established by Edgar Kaufmann Jr. of MoMA (Museum of Modern Art in New York) along with pioneers of modern design such as Charles & Ray Eames and George Nelson, who created numerous masterpieces of furniture, Russell Wright, a leading American industrial designer, and the prominent architect Eero Saarinen.

The judging panel evaluates entries based on innovative design, new technology, form, materials, architecture, concept, function, and aesthetics.
This year, there were a record number of entries from over 55 countries.

It is not related to the Japanese Good Design Award, and in Japan, it is also known as the "Chicago Good Design Award". In terms of prestige, it is a globally valuable award alongside the Red Dot Design Award and the iF Design Award.
