New Series "Aria"
We are pleased to announce the launch of our new "Aria" series.
This new series is thin and air-light.
Italian vachetta leather was chosen as the ideal leather for speakers.
SYRINX's leather items began by effectively utilizing the leather used in these speakers, and we have developed products that focus on the characteristics of the leather. However, since last year, the roles have reversed, and leather items have become the core of our business.
This new series represents a significant leap forward from our previous work.
"Refined design, with optimal materials and the best technology."
The "Aria" series uses thin leather with full-surface adhesion (betabari).
Two pieces of thinly skived leather are bonded together without using a core material, resulting in a luxurious finish that is stronger and thinner.
To make two thin pieces of leather appear as one, without any lifting or warping when bent, requires extensive experience and skilled craftsmanship. Furthermore, because it does not rely on a core material, a difference of just 0.1mm in thickness completely changes the tension. The characteristics also vary greatly depending on the combination of leathers used.
Normally, the necessary strength and firmness are adjusted using a core material. However, SYRINX maximizes the characteristics of the material itself and does not use a core material. Until today, we have carefully repeated trial and error, identifying suitable leathers and thicknesses, from soft and pliable textures with no stiffness to crisp and firm textures, and we have established a prospect for utilizing them in multiple products.
The first product in the Aria series is the "TSUTSUMU Business Card Holder," which is the origin of SYRINX's leather items and a flagship product that has won seven design awards both domestically and internationally.
The full-surface bonded leather used in this product is not only thin and strong but also excellent in dimensional stability.
The interior also becomes a grain surface, which improves the glide of business cards.
From this "new TSUTSUMU," SYRINX will evolve to a new stage.
We plan to offer the following six colors initially (3 shades of gray, 3 dark shades).
